My wife gave me permission to buy one under the condition that I pay for it with overtime. To make it worse, she meant newly acquired overtime. Savings doesn't count. I'm praying these don't go away before December.
LT, Any idea when y'all are going to discontinue these kits? |

What tool is everyone using for the upper/rail screws?
I got the email I have a package coming from the mother ship and this will be my first stealth rail set up. Thank you LaRue and Company!!!! |

I will go and pick one of these up.
I did not see anything with my kit from LaRue to remove the screws and I have to give it to brown. Showed a Monday delivery and he dropped it off about an hour ago. Thank you all. |

For those interested...
Brownell's currently has the AR-15 Reaction Rod on sale for $76.99. Similarly, the Reaction Block is on sale for $77.99. Both are normally $99. Code M8X gets you $10 off and free shipping on orders of $75+, so it makes those $66.99 and $67.99 delivered. The code works on multiple orders. At those prices, I think someone could probably get all of their money back on the EE if they didn't want to keep them after completing the UU build. |

Can't tell you which was engaged. |

A 6.5 Grendel bolt uses a deeper face depth because the rim is much thicker than a 5.56 case. You can't cut forward into the extractor lip and expect it not to shear off, so you have to make the groove longer going backwards, but that only works if the bolt face moves back too. Grendel bolts are also longer overall than 5.56 bolts because of the face depth, as you need to add length to the tail if you want to be able to use standard firing pins, otherwise you get excessive firing pin protrusion and pierced primers. The extractor pocket is also different, as is the extractor pin location. It's not physically possible to make a 6.5 Grendel bolt from a 5.56 bolt "hogged out". |

I was going to throw the 6.5 G bolt from my UU kit into my LT chrome carrier. Will that work without issue? The carrier is the same across 5.56 and 6.5 G, aren’t they? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Anyone who bought an UU kit not use their kit number to purchase a lower? If not and you'd like to give the opportunity to someone to use it let me know. Would definitely be interested in working something out. Please email for quickest response.

Does this come with a standard charging handle or an extended latch? |

Pardon my ignorance, but this will be the first time I'm buying a non-assembled AR. Aside from a lower and optic/BUIS, what do I need to turn one of the 5.56 kits into a rifle?

Reaction Rods are on sale this weekend for about $65 (normally $99, I think). Same with the Reaction Block for lower receiver work. Both are really nice tools. I also have the Magpul BEV Block and it works well too, but it requires taking the BCG group apart to install it on the upper.
