It ain't that hard to put these things together...especially when you already have the tools. I know as Larue fans we're supposed to have faith in getting a great value, but these uu kits with the lower come in at ~600 less than the complete rifle (after backing out the extras). I got a couple of the kits too, but that stings a bit...I doubt I'll be jumping in on any complete rifles in the future. ETA: Sorry, I'll shut up now. View Quote Nobody can argue the UU isn't a great value. Hell - it was probably the only way id ever be able to swing a complete, new 308 from LT!! I'm just saying it's not like you're paying more for a lesser purchase. |

For those who don't like the keymod look, these rubber Ergo Wedgelok rail covers in dark earth match the UU FDE just about perfectly. https://s26.postimg.org/y2j9jnpbd/image.jpg View Quote |

If anyone has the 6.5 tranquillo brake they want to sell or trade shoot me a dm.

So, my first order of the small frame UU quoted a "milspec BCG," and that is what I got. Non-descript. Phosphated, reliable, blah, blah, blah. Now, the drop-down is "LaRue BCG." So, my mind is wandering. On my next order, am I getting the chromed LT logo BCG, or the one I got in my first order?

So let it be written; So let it be done... !
I have just joined the club of those who own one of the finest AR-10 platforms available - I ordered a 6.5 Creedmoor 22" this morning in Black. I will order a lower tomorrow after confirming the number of my local FFL guy. I was smart & asked my wife if she was ok with it - The trick seemed to be the fact that I equated a Larue with the status of a Louis Vuitton - She was like "Oh yeah, that does sound like a good deal" !! :) ;) .... So, my marriage may still be safe for now. Now, there is just one item left on my Grail list & that is a DW Valor in .45 ACP.... Thank you Mark for making this offer available for those of us on tight budgets :) |

A quick question for anyone that ordered an UU kit with a 14.5” barrel with the brake permanently attached. Did Larue charge for the pin and weld? How much?

Hmmm. You have a tight budget, and you just gave your wife permission (whether you think you did not not: YOU DID) to buy another Louis Vuitton ? Brother, you just got snookered. View Quote it proactively now :) ;) I "might" be safe though.... She already has 3 of those damned things, and she _did_ make the comment a few months back that she was not needing any more jewelry.... Oh, bother - I just realized she was setting me up for something in the future... ! |

I received notice this morning that my 3 Grendel E-Lander mags have shipped. Should have them in my hands tomorrow.

My UU kit arrives today. The UPS guy hits the hood at about 10am local. This is worse than Christmas.

I'm waiting on my UU order from 9/12. I've had the lower for a week

Google full not working, wasn't there a chart on the shims for timing the brake?,thanks

For those upper kit buyers who ordered lower receivers in FDE - have any of you received your FDE lower yet?
I know LaRue stated that anything other than black would take longer. I am just curious if any of the FDE’s have gone out yet. Thanks! |

If not, then hopefully an early Christmas present. Leave it to Mark to figure out how to sell a bunch of AR's when the market is flooded and sales are flat. |

Spoke with them today and have some info on allot of the questions that have been asked here over the last few days.
Pin and Weld: - If you order a 14.5" you should receive an email to see if you would like them to P/W the brake. Do not believe there will be a charge. Time frame will probably be a couple of weeks, depending on how many folks want the option and how many guys they pull from the shop to do the work. Long Hand Guards for 22" 6.5 and 260's - Black hand guards are coming in daily, the issue is with packaging. With the change to offer longer ones, they had to order larger boxes and get new foam inserts made. Believe they will be in by the end of next week. Lowers - Don't anticipate them going off the website anytime soon. Wait times may be long, as they do not have any historical data to predict how much they needed for inventory, and the response to the UU kits being offered was higher than anticipated. That response jumped when Mark decided to offer lowers if you bought the kit and pass the 12% ATF tax savings on to the customers. Colors (Receivers and Hand Guards) - Black is always the best for availability, being the default color. FDE is next and there was some inventory on hand due to the 6.5 rifles. I was told UDE is the longest wait time, sorry guys. Hope (Black Friday) - Some of the staff is trying to get Mark to do something different for Black Friday. Put rifle parts and accessories on sale, not just the t-shirts. Given the amount of orders they have for the UU kits, I don't think we will be seeing any new products soon, although we saw 3 new products come out within 2 months. Don't know how this will pan out. Also new website upgrades to help deal with high traffic and try to prevent crashes when new products go on sale and everyone is trying to place an order. |
|
Okay, so let's say I purchase a 308 for the DPMS Gen 1 lower. Will that fit any DPMS gen 1 lower spec'd lower? Lets say an Aero Precision M5 lower?

Thinking about ordering one of these kits. Is the $399 TQ offer valid with the 5.56 upper kits? If so, would I need to call in to order one? And do I have to order the TQ immediately, or can I wait a little while to build the funds back up?
|
|
Tranquillo are offered with 556 kits. I put it on credit card as I was unsure how long deal will last. I too would be preferred to build up funds before purchasing but didn't want to risk missing out.

View Quote I ordered the complete 6.5 rifle but didn't order all the extras...after the UU was released I realized the value of the complete offering came from getting the extras. I called in to see if I could buy the stuff at the same price they would have been if I had ordered everyrhing at once....the answer was 'no'. |
|
I tried to hold off and not get one but with all the bad influences here I caved.
Now the wait begins. |

I decided to jump on this deal and told myself I may sell my TAR 556 or my tOBR 7.62 but who am I kidding.
Ordered the 300 blackout 16in UU and 22in 6.5CM in FDE with a lower for each one. Amazingly this was all done with my wife knowing... this time. Happy 15th Anniversary to me! |

I couldn't hold out anymore!
Just finished my first ever order from Larue and it was over $1k Placed an order for a 6.5 Grendel in black with OD polymer and a small block lower. I spent about a month deciding which rifle I wanted to order between 7.62, 260, 6.5CM or 6.5 grendel. Finally decided on the Grendel since it seems like such a neat little caliber. I have some Larue mounts but they were bought used. I'm so excited to finally see what this dillo dust is all about! I've been a Larue fan forever and have always wanted one of your rifles, but as a college student/marine it's tough to afford one. Thank you Mark for making this possible with your UU kits! |
