RIP Berger 136gr - looks like it is officially discontinued - and out-of-stock everywhere, even GB.
One of the truly lights out factory round in both a gasser and a bolt gun. |

Okay sweet.
I've only used my machinist levels, they work well but the badger looks like it makes it easy. Eta, about 90 bucks to make one. |
|
|
Like I said, when using a multiple level setup, I wasn't too far off. The top of the reticle was to the left of the line and the bottom was to the right, maybe a 1/2 to a degree off? But the problem doing it that way was you're trying to level the rifle and then the scope. Using the BDL, all you do is level the optic to gravity, a simpler process IMHO.

Lapua presents:New match grade ammunition
for 6.5 Creedmoor and .260 Remington While the 6.5 Creedmoor continues to increase in popularity in competitive shooting, there is also a growing demand for a match solution for .260 Remington. Lapua has risen to the occasion and presents new factory-loaded cartridges designed to conquer the market and outperfom the competition at ranges up to 1,000 m/yds and even beyond. The rounds are loaded with the 8,8 gram / 136 grain Scenar-L bullet. It was introduced in 2013, and has ever since become a staple midrange and long range match projectile in 6.5 mm applications. Both calibers are C.I.P. approved. Even if the .260 Rem. cartridge has a slightly shorter max overall length compared to the 6.5 Creedmoor round, it still performs similar to the latter in terms of muzzle velocity and hit accuracy. The biggest difference between the two is that the 6.5 Creedmoor case is Small Rifle Primer while the .260 Rem. has a Large Rifle Primer pocket. |

View Quote First PRS match a few weeks back, only a very slim minority were shooting .264 anything. But interestingly most guys were concerned about using less powder than other factors. One even said he shoots 6.5 if the stages are longer so he can see the splash but can’t justify burning powder for the short matches. These guys must shoot way more than I do |

I don't believe the 6.5mm powders interchange with 6mm loads so it could just be availability. I'm having a 260 barrel spun up for my AXMC and I'm going to shoot it with a load at about 2775fps instead of 2875fps. My intent is to test the weight of this rifle against the recoil of the round to gauge my ability to see the trace and splash. Using the AI AT-X in 6 Dasher, I could easily see the trace and hits at 800y with a round moving at 3000fps. |

Sounds like you have to drain half of it or something to get it just right? Its only money to try it out I guess.
