I've said it all along, the 6.5 is a flavor of the day and countless have since moved on to the new flavor of the day, the 6CM, which we used to call .243. I've never run into a mag length problem with my loads as 0.10 - 0.50 off the lands still allows for plenty of room in the .260. But, I can load more powder in my 260 for higher velocities if needed. I've also said it's six of one, half a dozen of another. Be happy regardless of which way you go, if you can get that telephone pole of a 6.5 round to load. |

I have a 6.5CM UU. I initially ordered it in 260 but switched it once the 6.5 was offered. I don’t reload and a comparison of availability and cost of factory ammo made the 6.5 a better choice for me.

View Quote I bought both the 260 and 6.5CM UU Kits both with 22in barrels (this is the ARCOM way - buy both) Both shoot lights out. Have had the 260 out to a mile and it can be almost boring at 1000 yards. Haven't shot the 6.5 CM as much but I it appears to be even a little more accurate. |

Oops.
I just got my AMG back from Vortex. Just FYI, if you gorilla tighten the three zeroing set screws, the turrets become impossibly stiff to manipulate. They’ll still fix it for you though and then politely to you it was your fault |

Got 2 cases of the Berger 130’s. Been real busy at work and haven’t been checking this thread. Right before the shut down I shot a match out to 1100 yards with the 260 and did quite well. I was the only guy with an auto loader there. It surprised a few people how well I did.

Before all the COVID madness, we were truing to get out to 1400y at Quantico but that went out the window. |

I don’t know why but I never got around to ordering a can for my 260. I was looking at them today and noticed if you order an ultimate upper kit you can save $300 on the suppressor. Sounds like a deal! Then I see you can get 2 extra mags for another bill. Yeah! And a Larue lower for another $300.... well of coarse you will need that.
How could I afford not to get everything? Anyone know the lead time as of late? |

The soft opening at Quantico went well. I think we'll have more people next weekend and I may actually get to shoot. I spent the day with the Board of Directors cleaning and rearranging the clubhouse so we have separate areas for members to do business, operations and the BOD.
