You guys gotta find those shooting ranges that do Class 3 transfers and allow conjugal visits. I've been shooting my TranQuilo ever since I bought it.

nice if one is close, I just can't stand range fees. 20/hour around my parts. that could buy an extra box of ammo.

First impressions of shooting with the brake for it.
Damn that thing works great, basically no recoil. Holy shit that thing feels like getting smacked in the forehead from the concussion, can’t wait to put the can on it instead. I think if I ever had to use that indoors, me and my five closest neighbors in all directions would have permanent 100% hearing loss. |

Made the rifle sound like a howitzer. I took it to a bowling pin shoot in Uvalde. Warned everyone to move back because it was "loud". Everyone laughed and said they had hearing protection. After I fired the last shot I turned around and everyone was running for the fence. Guy standing to the side said it made him sick to his stomach. Still have the comp in a drawer. It's too loud to use. Hope the tranquilo isn't that loud. |

Honestly even being the one shooting it, it was kind of unpleasant. I’m sure it’s from being on a 10.5” but I could feel it smack me in the forehead every time I pulled the trigger.
Like I said, can’t wait to get the can out of jail and shoot it the right way. |

Just bought the UU kit in 6.5G, how does this can work with that setup? I know it's a 7.62 can.

Works fine.
The tranquillo brake isn’t all that bad. Had an SJC Titan on my predatAR and good lort. Was like someone punching you in the gut if you were next to it going off. |

I’ve had more than a few times the SF cans change temp compared to the matting surface or whatever the explanation is and had them stuck on when I wanted them off. One negative about the weight is you really need a cover because when it’s hot enough to give a mirage it’s going to stay that way a loooong time |

I don't have much experience with the TQ because mine is in jail still. However, when my dealer let me 'demonstrate' mine on my 14.5 P&W build I fell in love. Fired it 10 times without Ear Pro about 10ft from a house and didn't have any problems. Honestly sounded close to a .22. I can't wait to use it on my new 7.62 and 6.5G UU kits.

One negative about the weight is you really need a cover because when it's hot enough to give a mirage it's going to stay that way a loooong time And +1 for the well-behaved mount. That same Saker ASR decided to semi-permanently attach itself to the brake shortly after I shot it, so I never got to try it on his .223 Rem 700. Meanwhile, the only drama I've ever had with the TQ was the day it showed up at my FFL... I was overenthusiastic about threading it on in the shop, and it took the brake off with it when I tried to remove it. Once I sorted that out, some Loctite on the brake and a gentler hand attaching the suppressor made sure that never happened again. The lock ring has ensured it's never loosened while firing, and I've had some marathon range sessions with it. It always comes off when it's cool enough to grab. As for mirage, yep, once it gets boiling, might as well take a coffee break. The worst was when I was trying to pick a last-minute factory load for elk hunting until I had time for load development. It was 20 degrees out, and of course it was the one day of the year in Cody when it was dead still. 3 shots into each 5 shot group (about 1 every 3 seconds), and I couldn't focus on the target any more, even with a cover on the can. That took a little while. |

The 6.8 does not run subsonic but is very tolerable noise wise and extremely accurate. I also own a Saker 7.62 and compared the differences between the two. The testing was very informal and really a pain as the Saker is a direct mount and as you know the TranQuilo requires the adapter and shimes. I gave the TranQuilo the edge as far as blow back and cleanliness. Regarding the accuracy I'd rate them about the same. The results have lead me to dedicate the TranQuilo to the .300 BO and 6.8 SPC SBR's. The Saker runs on my other non-SBR 6.8 SPC's and 5.56's with the aid of thread adapters. |

I was just able to mount my TranQuilo on my 7.62 predatobr yesterday. Its still in jail, but I finally scored a TranQuilo muzzle brake after them being back ordered. So I figured it was a good excuse to have my FFL install it so I can mount the suppressor on it and check it out. The guys at the shop took a while to time the brake, brought it to me crooked the first time. I asked him to see what his buddy thinks about it. Came back straight the second time. Was worth the wait. It was pretty bitchen. I am excited to shoot it. If I get a chance I'm going to shoot a couple mags of gold medal match tomorrow to see how the muzzle brake works unsuppressed vs the surefire pro comp that I had on it. If I get enough time Ill do a range report of the couple mags I shoot tomorrow and maybe add some pictures of the shot groups if I can figure it out.
