@Bryan_Aim
I was just cleaning and inspecting my gun in preparation for an upcoming carbine course, which, of course, happens to be this weekend.
While cleaning the bolt, I noticed the lug to the right of the extractor is broken. It seems unusual, but it has a small piece that is "chipped" off the front edge of the lug. This particular bolt is in a BCM upper and has approximately 4500 rounds through it, but it is NOT a BCM bolt, nor is it an AIM bolt. I mention this because I don't want anyone assuming it is and spreading rumors about a broken BCM/AIM bolt. It is a very reputable manufacturer's bolt, but that company shall remain nameless.
I'm assuming the bolt has been chipped for quite a while, but I can't say for sure. I know I just ran about 300 rounds through it this past Saturday without any trouble, but I don't trust it to make it through the class this weekend.
I just ordered a complete BCM BCG from AIM, in hopes I would be able to get it by Saturday morning (or afternoon when my mail sometimes comes late). I'm only about a five hour drive from their shop, so I figured this should be possible. There was no option upon checkout to choose a more expensive expedited shipping option, so I chose the only one available, which was the free shipping option.
After placing the order I tried calling to see if I could pay an additional fee for a fast shipping option, but I must have missed them, as I got a recording with no option to leave a message.
My order number is 1025448 and it was placed at 5:05 today. If someone can charge my card an additional fee to get it shipped to me by this weekend, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm only about a 6 hour drive from AIM, so it might make it using the standard shipping option if it goes out tomorrow, but I can't count on that, so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
I would greatly appreciate any help you guys can offer. Thanks!
