I have a project coming up that I would like you guys to help me with. You guys did a fantastic job on my .45 ACP mauser threading. Its the only gun I have that doesn't exhibit a noticeable degree of POI shift when suppressed which honestly I credit to you guys
Basically what Im going to have is a 16" that needs to be chopped down to 11.5" and threaded to 5/8x24. That's the easy part.
The harder part is I need the barrel reprofiled slightly. I have 2 locations with different ODs that will need to be moved back a few inches since the barrel will be shorter. The locations serve as what I will refer as to as stops for barrel accessories for the gas system.
I guess what I really am asking is how can I provide you with something that will show you guys what I want?
To put it in an even more laymans terms I want to duplicate this. The problem is the measurements are unknown. That said with it being a custom project as long as I have a bit of spacing from the muzzle to the gas block(clearance for a suppressor), and enough space for the accessories to work together, it wont matter.
Shortened gas system on a 11.5" like I am going to duplicate
Original gas system on a 16"
