I'm looking at having my RRA midlength barrel machined under the handguards. Was wondering what kinda of weight difference there is between say government profile versus a "medium" contour with fluting.
Seems like with a thin contour under the handguards, the thicker end of the barrel with the FSB and muzzle break would still put a good bit of weight on the end and effect balance. I guess a solution would be to flute forward of the FSB to help with some of that thickness, or turn there as well.
Any suggestions? And how much would it run me to have the barrel turned and fluted under the handguards? Thanks!
