Michigan is open for biz. A lot of vacant factory space, skilled manufacturing workforce.. Michigan? There is a reason why you have all those vacant factory space. You guys ran them out of town. In the case of GM, you ran them out of the country! As long as you have UAW still breathing there, you'll play hell trying to attract any new business. Get rid of UAW first, and see what happens. Read the rest of my post, the sarcasm was pretty thick in it. |

Spending this month and maybe next traveling to various locations accessing possibilities. Other than that we are not commenting on any details till a final decision has been made. If you are thinking of Wyoming, and want to stay out of the wind stick close to the mtns. That wind will drive you nuts in the eastern part of the state. Yes it will. The 50th time your trunk lid hits you in the head, or you are walking at a 45deg angle into the wind so that you don't fall over backwards.......you will loathe eastern WY. Eastern MT also. "The snow never melts, the wind blows it back and forth until it wears the snow out." Lived outside of Billings for a few years, still have one brother around there. Try shooting the Quigley match out by Forsythe. 24 minutes of windage and still aim 15' left of the bison target at 805 yards. Still hitting 4' to the right. Nothing like lobbing large chunks of lead in a hurricane. |

Come to South Dakota :)
SD wont pass any laws restricting guns/ammo/parts beyond that of the federal level http://legis.state.sd.us/statutes/DisplayStatute.aspx?Statute=9-19-20&Type=Statute You could set up shop next to Black Hills Ammunition! |

OK, I didn't read all 3 pages of this thread, but...Has Magpul
given any official response? Also wondering why this thread or something to this effect isn't tacked on page 1. Magpul raised the bet, Colorado called them and now it is time for them to pull up stakes and leave. I really like all the Magpul stuff I have, but if they don't follow through, they go into the same bucket as manufacturers in other anti-2A states. |

Yep, they're moving to Tennessee to take up residence in the old Sabre Defence factory. |

They are certainly welcome in the great State of Idaho. Right to work, lots of conservatives and Southern Idaho workforce knows injection molding!

How about driving a spearhead into Washington state? Hell, I'd even sweep the parking lot everyday.

So who is the poor bastard in the office who gets to put "Now made in xxxxx" stickers over the "Made in Colorado" blurb on your packaging.

You guys are funny. I've traveled to over 30 states and 25 countries and have never once had a desire to live anywhere but Texas.

Indiana would be a good possible choice! Cross Roads of America Located in the middle of the country with interstates going North, South, East and West! A large FedEx Air Hub located at the Indianapolis International Airport, Large FedEx Ground Operations also, Large UPS Ground Operations, UPS Air Hub right next door in Kentucky within 3 hrs. Large manufacturing hub for the auto industry with experience in plastic injection moldings. Southern Indiana is a great place and sits between all above mentioned sites with rolling hills and forests. ^THIS^ INDIANA!! This state would really suit you well! On top of all thee above we are an overall 'right' state! We wouldn't let our elected officials pull that kind of BS!! Have your people call Governor Pence see what he thinks about bringing more jobs to Indiana!! |

I would recommend Clarksville, TN due to right outside Fort Campbell and lots of veterans that do not leave after they move here and employers seem to like to hire veterans. No state income tax (the way it should be), pro-gun laws and pro-gun people. But I cannot think of one empty manufacturing building so unless there is one I don’t know of you would have to build a new building.
Where ever you guys pick make sure it a Free State with no appeal to California type, after they mess up their own state they move to places like Estes Park, Co. (Last time I was there I thought I was in Northern California). |

Funny, lot of talk from Magpul pre bill passing but not a peep since bill passed. Not her nor on their FB page. Starting to wonder how serious they really are.

Magpul could move to Texas and be a little fish in a big pond, or they could move to Oklahoma and BE SOMEBODY!

Uh, Houston , Dallas, and San Antonio have been very liberal in their own right for quite some time. But it really does not matter because the whole country has shifted ideals and it's not going back anytime soon. The vast majority of the very wealthy in Texas are very Progressive, much to the disadvantage to the average citizen. But on-topic, Magpul needs some geographic diversity in its production facilities as a hedge against the states erosion of IIA rights. |

It appears that either MP has not finalized everything with their move yet or is delaying release of the new location for impact reasons or cause they are making magazines When releasing news such as the move which had the underlying goal of showing the left in CO the finger and showing solidarity behind the IIA for their supporters. To have the desired effect on the media / targets there needs to be a "no news" time interval spread of a few days or greater to increase the likelihood that some news organization will pick up the story. Otherwise there is an increased likelihood that the news of their move will be drowned out by other headlines of the day and inherent value in their actions will be lost politically. basically what I am getting at is - who the f-^k knows.
Then again I am just guessing and I may be far from correct, usually am - I don’t know - but I am interested in finding out where they are moving to for shits n giggles. I also would like to know where are the 308 pmags promised to me in that strange dream I had a few nights ago. I know I have my backorders, and they are still back ordered, but a pmag in hand is worth two in a bush or some shat. It feels like pmag backorder purgatory. I have some BO's from USTS from early first week of January and some from DSG from March. I wonder which ones I will receive first. Oh, btw imho LA > TX so I must say in my obligatory post on where to move to. no serious LA > TX - best thing about TX = I-10 E |

The law was passed and does not go in effect until July 1st.
I no first hand experience to base this on, but my money is on their operation probably consists of more than a CONEXs with a card table and two folding chairs. |

Does anyone know if they might have visited any states recently to look for space?
