it has come to our attention that any time a soldier handles live demolitions in a month he is due hazard pay. The amount is $150. No one in my unit has ever gotten said pay.
We are a combat engineer company, NG.
Future demo events will be covered, to make sure that everyone due the pay gets it.
My question is this: Can the bonus be back dated? If it can, how long ago can it be back dated? Also, what proof is needed?

I appreciate your input.

It is $150. I think that is prorated for RC. Generally Engineers even those performing Demo duties don't qualify-- look here under Demolitions Pay:

Basically it says you have to be EOD.

There was an exception from GEN Flowers before retiring as Chief of Engineers. This was granted to Engineers personnel performing EOD type duties in theatre.

Yup, for a 21B to get it they have to be doing EOD type duties in theather, and it has to be recertified every month. One of our platoons qualifies every month here, the other off and on.
