Ok i think i wanna spend a few years in active duty infantry. I have 21/2 years left in my guard contract . My plan is to go active for a couple of years then return home back into the guard. What is the minimum length contract i can get active? Im already mosq in 11b . I will see a recruiter this spring just looking to get a heads up .

They used to do 2 year contracts, but I think 3 years is the minimum, now. If you do 4 years, you can likely get a bonus, or duty station of choice. See if you can weasel in school of choice, too (Airborne, AASLT, Pathfinder, etc.)
