Ask anyone in the submarine force what it's like to go 3 months without a drink.

I bought a 12-pack of Sam Adams two weeks before Christmas, and I'm still working on it.  2-3 a week is about normal for me.

Yes, this past wednesday.  Parents were in town, and they're not drinkers.  I was going through withdrawl, so I had to have one thursday night at dinner.  Usually have a couple on my days off, though.

I love that stuff.  Can't say I ever saw it sold in Ohio when I lived there, but it's pretty popular here in Maryland.  Damn fine beer.

Last thing I want on my rare day off is a hangover.

Oh wow I have had more alcohol last month than the rest of the year. I had a 1/2 pitcher of margaritas
on my birthday and split 2 bottles of wine during Christmas...does that anwser your question. I work too much, am on call the rest of the time and dont need the empty calories.

I just went a month without a drink (field/going home on leave (not yet 21) back to back.)

But yeah. Fixed that last night. Let the vodka flow! Only did like six shots, and passed out. BTW, combonation of alcohol and jetlag makes for a shitty morning after.

+1

Not because I have any moral objection to it, just that drunks annoy the hell out of me.

Even when I do have some, I don't come close to getting drunk. I just don't see the point.

Yes regularly.

Didn't have a drink for three days last week, no particular reason, just didn't feel like drinking. Haven't had one today either, nor will I tonight or tomorrow, working a 7 hr detail tonight and a 24 hr shift tomorrow. I can take it or leave it pretty easily.
