Carl Wigglesworth died yesterday after a battle with cancer. Carl served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1971 and then served as a Deputy U.S. Marshal from 1972 to 1992. He was involved in the shootout with Gordon Kahl in Medina, ND in 1983. After retiring from the U.S. Marshals Service, he worked as a security consultant for the N.D. Supreme Court. I only met Carl a couple of times, but everyone who worked with him liked and respected him very much.
