Thinking of getting one but have heard that recent productions have been lose fit and mismatched colors. Also that Colt switched from Alcoa uppers to Diemaco? Any word on quality difference? Also thinking about Bushy M4 style LE rifle.

Thanks.

I've had mine for about 4 years and have approx. 15k rds through it and it has worked perfect for me. The 6920 is about as good an M4 as you are gonna get.

Good Luck

Can an average American legally own LE6920 ?

If not, is there are any special permit for having such carbine ?

TankBuster,

The 1994 assualt weapons ban prohibits civilians from owning said weapon. LEOs may own if used for duty use, no domestic violence conviction, supervisor allows it. Once LE status is lost, (former) officer must get rid of gun.

No permits allow the ownership for civvies. Only LEOs may own.
