I had this pop up this morning and thought I'd share. Might bring back some memories, good and bad.

I don't remember ever seeing the Camaros.

The Camaros were used for traffic enforcement and high speed pursuit, not as normal patrol vehicles. Fort Worth had some of the same era, only had the drivers seat and had a roll cage installed.

The early 70's Plymouth's and some of the Ford's ran like stink. The big block cars were very, very fast from what I've been told. That AMC Matador made me think of Adam-12 and some of Joseph Wambaugh's books.

The 3rd picture down, captioned as a 1956 Ford Fairlane, is actually a 1959 model, not a '56.

There is a Houston officer restoring a bunch of police cars with a goal of doing 1 per decade.  I think he has nearly finished the mid-90s bubble Caprice.
