My department recently switched from normal ammo Remington slugs and Federal reduced buck shot. To Hornady TAP buckshot and CHOKE "precision round" as a slug replacement.  The only problem is our qualification/pratice was two rounds each and we only get issued 4 buck and 2 "precision".  I'm having a hard time finding my own supply and my old ammo is now a policy violation to have in my car.  Any sources for ammo.

You want to call Hornady and talk with Kathy McHale who handles LE sales.

Fax:  308-382-5761
Phone:  800-338-3220

They'll pay shipping.  Order needs to be on a P.O. or Agency Letterhead.  You can pay with a credit card or they'll bill the agency.

Not familiar with that particular slug load but if you should have a rifled barrel, get several boxes of the H2K slug to try.

It's a 300 or 350 grain 45 xtp in a sabot with a muzzle velocity of 1970 or somewhere close to that.

If I concentrate, it will group 2 to 3 inches at 200 (two) yards.
I've taken deer at 200, 175, 150 yards and the farthest any traveled was about 30 feet.
