I'd like to get the opinion of you women, whose opinion I trust.
My wife is very sensitive to a regular mammogram. It leaves her bruised and uncomfortable literally for months afterward. She's also had a stroke, so anything that leaves internal bruising should be avoided.
She's fought for over a year to get an ultrasound. She finally got the preauthorization from her insurance, presented it to a local ultrasound facility-- and was told "Women are NEVER allowed ultrasounds on their breasts!" The scheduler would not give her the name of the doctor who said this to her (there are 35 doctors at that facility).
What kind of hooey is this? Is this BS, a new Obamacare feature, or are they just BSing her so that they don't deal with her insurance company?
Thanks for your attention to this. It's got us both pretty steamed.
