Is is legal to file down the receiver of a single stack AK so it can accept hi-cap mags?

whoa!!!!

it is "legal"...but! for civvie use, 5 usa made parts have to added, if the rifle has a military style pistol grip and buttstock.

additionally, you will need to extend/alter the feed ramp to feed from both sides of the double stack (high capacity) magazine.
