Are there any restrictions on shipping ammo?
Seems I heard that it could not be shipped US Postal but could be by UPS.

for the most port it should be legal, as long as you can legaly own that kind of ammo.  Your supplyer should have the detales.

Loaded ammo cannot go by US Mail, per postal regulations - so it has to go by common carrier (UPS, Fedex, etc).

UPS, at least, classifies loaded ammunition as "ORM-D", and requires that it go by ground service only.  Other than that, it's perfectly legal to ship it anywhere, provided the person you're shipping to is not prohibited from owning the ammunition you're shipping.  Same state or interstate doesn't matter, and there is no hazmat tag as long as it's regular bullets, and not tracer or incendiary or something like that.

Mark the package "Small Arms Ammunition - Inert Projectile" and "ORM-D".
