No, but someone in Oregon might, and if you should leave it there with a friend, and, low and behold, it happens to find its way home then it was the will of God that you have a AR in California.

Get a couple of friends together, buy a little vacation home north west of Carson City or in the mountains near Reno, which is cool to have anyway, start paying taxes on it, get the utilities going, get a Nevada driver's license, and then shop to your heart's content. Bringing it across state lines, that's another story.

No. It is my understanding that the only legal AR type rifles that may be sold in CA are the DPMS pump action or single shot models. Check the laws for yourself before you buy anything. I'm not a lawyer, and I don't play one on TV either.

Hmmm, let's see...earthquakes, no power, high real estate prices, smog, and worst of all, no cool guns allowed.

Why does anyone want to live there anyway?

If I was more aware of this states laws and if I knew about this forum before Au 16th I would have bought like 3 lowers. We need more (should I say some) republican politicians here!  Good thing my parents live in TX where I grew up so I can purchase and leave a toy or two with them to keep.

The thread that would not die! :)

Unfortunately, all the DPMS rifles are based on an AR style action, including the pump action models, and are banned by name.  Sorry!

Yes, under a literal interpretation of the law a DPMS refrigerator would be an assault weapon.
