WELL THANKS, FOR THE OPINIONS GUYS, SO, ARE WE SAYING THAT SOMETHING HAPPENED IN 9-94 THAT MADE IT ILLEGAL TO STICK A MAG WITH CAPICITY OF MORE THAN 10 ROUNDS IN A POST BAN FIREARM? IF SO, WHAT WAS THAT EVENT?

Ghillie: No - you can use ANY legal magazine in a rifle, whether the rifle is pre-ban or post-ban. On 9/13/94 it became illegal to MAKE magazines which hold more than 10 rounds for non-gov't/military. However, any magazine made before 9/13/94 can be legally used in any rifle, no matter when it was made. There are state laws which are more restrictive, like California's ban on anything over 10 rounds (unless you legally possessed it on or before 12/31/99), and others, but that's the general federal rule.
