Ok I know all about strawman purchases and all that but was wondering how I can LEGALLY give a gun as a christmas gift. My 2 younger brothers are opening up a car audio business and want to give them a shotgun for in the store security since there is expensive equipment and shady guys that like that stuff (if ya know what i mean!!!) They are both legally able to own a gun, not underage or felons or anything. I know when you fill out the yellow form though it specifically asks if the weapon is for you and if not they wont sell it. What are my options? Private sale? I know dads have bought their kids guns growing up and all that. There must be a way to do this so nobady will get in trouble.

Gifts are fine. You are buying the shotgun for yourself. You can give it away if you like.

The form doesn't ask if the firearm is for you. It asks if you are the actual purchaser. Purchase as a gift is specifically allowed in the instructions for the form.
