If you are sending a gun in interstate commerce, you MUST address it to yourself, otherwise send through an FFL.  Others can take receipt of it for you, but you don't want to get caught with your pants down if somehow an eyebrow is raised.  This is the loophole that allows hunters to send their equipment over state lines - TO THEMSELVES.

As far as any AR15 goes, they are all legal in NY, just not the NYC boroughs.  NYC, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Bronx are the no no areas.

If you want to avoid all problems, address it to me, I'll happily "hold" it for you at my local range for a couple hours a day!

Thanks a lot guys!!!  I appreciate the help.  I was asking because I knew there was some new laws that didn't allow the sale of guns to some certain states and cities.  I am selling it to an FFL dealer and his shop is in New York State, not NYC.  Regards...K
