anyone know if the branson compensators are legal on postban rifles? some places say they are, some say no. they basically look like a2 flash suppresors but with the end blocked for compensation except for the bullet hole. it's on the dpms web site for those who don't know exactly what im talking about.

They look like the Wilson Tactical Muzzle Break which is installed on all their Post Ban ARs and which they specifically list as BATF approved.  Go here:

If the outer diameter of the branson comp is 22mm, it's banned as grenade launcher, regardless of its flash hider status.

There are a number of very good brakes and comps which are not post-ban legal due to the outer diameter/grenade launcher issue.
