Nah, he has a lot of accomplishments... Put the state 17 BILLION DOLLARS into debt.. AND RAISED taxes. You'd think that money was just disappearing! Gotta love Davis! Signed some of the most restrictive Gun Control legislation in the entire USA... and it was any wonder why the state-wide violent crime rate went up! Good work going after those crooks! Signed California into some of the most overpriced energy contracts ever after allowing California to get in one of the worst energy deficits ever... great job handling that one!

What are you talking about? He passed the toughest gun laws in the nation, making the registration of assault weapons a requirement, imposed costly testing procedures upon the handgun manufacturers, required drop and safety testing, mandatory gun locks and safe storage requirements thereby making the state of California the safest state in the nation. And as of 2003 you will be required to obtain a license to purchase a handgun. All of that and he pissed away the budget surplus and put us in debt to the tune of $17.5 BILLION in less than a year. Quite an accomplishment if you ask me.

I meant accomplishments in the positive sense.

He made it possible for a Republican to win next November.

Now there's one. Funny how this state is turning me into a single-issue voter.

I've been a single-issue voter for years, it seems like. You tell me how a candidate thinks the 2nd Amendment is to be interpreted and I can tell you immediately if I would vote for him or her. Republican or Democrat, it would little matter, because if a Democrat truly says he is a firm supporter of the RKBA, I will bet you that his/her views on just about every other issue will coincide with my own. We have a Democrat congressman in a district just to the East and North of Dallas, named Ralph Hall. He is such a conservative that he voted for more of the items in the GOP's 'Contract With America' than did Tom DeLay, the Republican Whip in the House, also from Texas! I just wish he'd jump parties! Soon. Because I don't know how he votes for Speaker and whether or not he gets campaign money from the DNC! Eric The(SingleIssue)Hun[>]:)]

... I'm not ashamed to admit the same!

Yup. The Issue is the only issue for me, I don't care about any of the others once I learn the candidate's stance on The Issue. In that way we are like the abortion people, both pro and con, who also make up their minds on just that issue. As for that freakin' gov, it amazes me he has the stones to run for re-election after the energy mess especially. Oh wait, that was all the fault of those nasty Republicans and Texas evildoers. Sorry, I forgot.

Excellent slogan. What would it cost to get that one on a few hundred billboards?

Congressman Hall's lovely wife Mary Ellen was my Cub Scout Den Mother MANY years ago. He's Ralph to everyone who's had the pleasure of meeting him. A more personable, honest guy you'll never find. I don't think Ralph Hall will change parties. He's from an old school of honorable, conservative Democrats that serve to contrast with the current DNC bunch. BTW Ralph doesn't get much if any DNC support. He's not a maverick he just hasn't changed his beliefs to suit the climate. Tho' Ralph will likely remain true to his roots one of his sons was recently elected District Judge in the Texas 382nd District as a Republican. Ralph Hall supports RKBA. He is a legend in his Texas 4th Congressional district and he owns that seat till he retires.

Seriously, Governor Gray Davis has shown the nation the logical consequences of the morally bankrupt socialist agenda. Why is it that no one ever "connects the dots" when it comes to states and cities that have been run into the ground by liberal well-intentioned socialists?

They're not all well-intentioned, but it's the mush-brained self-loather's that encourage them.

Ot: Arnie endorsed ex-L.A. mayor Richard Riordan in the Calif. Gov primary. Dick Riordan is 110% anti-gun. Riordan is against assualt weapons, and favor house-to-house confiscation of guns. See Gunowners of Calif website at www.gunsonwersca.com for more info on Dick Riordan.
