Earthlink subscribers, please be careful!

Looks like someone is trying to scam our Customers, this was just received
by one of my agents who forwarded it to me.  Check out the link that is
provided, it goes to a spoofed site and requests CC info and account info,
and threatens to terminate the Customers account if they do not comply.

message :  Dear Valued Earthink Member,

Satcong:

I'm looking for a good DSL provider.  It sounds like you work for Earthlink.  So are they a gun friendly company?  (Verizon can't supply me and they suggested AOL (forget it) or Earthlink.)

Weren't we just discussing how Earthlink is owned/connected with Sprint which is ANTI?

Clear this up someone, please!!!

I use earthlink and while I've been looking for a cheaper alternative anyway, being ANTI will get me to switch this week.

Frances,

I am not an expert on Gun friendly companies, and I really don't know. Earthlink touts all day that privacy is important.  I personally don't trust anyone.

But at least I can read AR15.com all day with no Nazi breathing down my back.  My boss keeps a magazine of Guns and Ammo on his desk, for all to see.  No soccer moms work here.

And on the lighter side, I do vendor relations with the ILECs so if you have a dsl issue, I can help members here bypass the normal trouble ticket system and troubleshoot with them and the ILEC on the other line...so there is a  [;)]benefit...

i used earthlink when i was back in indy and had no problems with it.

2nd amendment stance aside, i would recommend them.
