Hi guys and gals,

I packed up my worn field jacket and all my guns 25 years ago and moved to the land of the free, Vermont. Check out our belief in 2nd Amendment rights. You will understand why the hills are alive with the sound of 16’s and 15’s here.

A buddy of mine (hello Randy) turned me on to your site (very nice job!), and I hope to feel welcome here. I have a mgf class FFL and do enjoy my hobby, but I need your help in appraising a set of firearms I picked up this weekend. It is a pre-ban AR (SP345xxx) boxed with a Colt (series 80) 45 (Serial # “CAMO 1xx”) Odd, huh? Well I called Colt and they built the set in 1987 and had both arms Z-Koted Camo. The AR is a tele stock with lug, 16” barrel. I am not an AR person per say, only own and shoot them regularly. (What is a “raised fence” and “block out” or “no block”?)Can any one give me an idea of value of the two, they came from the Colt Custom Shop in an assault case with outside holster for the 45, also two 20 round colt mags in 2 pockets and two 45 mags in 2 pockets. Nice set up!

Hope to converse with you folks often.

Tony

I can't help you other than to point you to the Colt forum, which I see you've already found...
As the guys there can be *most* helpful, I'm sure you'll get an answer real soon now...

Welcome, and very nice package, by the way!

Best!

Thanks DScott!
the_survivalist, Chittenden County is Burlington, our largest city, and our most socialist city. You might want to check out some nicer areas and brave the comute. I live in Franklin county near the Canadian border (in the mountains, in a village of 900). A very pro carry and gun use state with no restrictions!

I was out at lunch pounding the camo with a friend. I guess it is a keeper (arn't they almost all)

belive me, i don't want to live in the city, or any city for that matter (i HATE cities) i will be liveing in the country outside if the city, you know of any reasonably priced real estate in yore area?

there would have to be a personal sale, with good finacncing conditions. i may have a pre-approval for a mortgage in my, but don't know if they will finance a VT. house.

Best to look north of Saint Albans. I know a good gun shop in East Franklin, nice rural area.

It is in fact expensive, but smetimes you can get a deal. I sold 11 acres in the mountains with year round road frontage, two brooks and all hardwood for 10K. I built a large wrap around porch, and spend more time on it than I did cutting wood on the land. Pretty mild winter this year. We are left with only about 2 feet of snow, compared to the 5 feet last year.
