My issue of National Geographic Adventure just came. There is a story "Undercover In Afghanistan" by Robert Pelton, the guy who does the worlds most dangerous places stories.

The story tells of him sharing living quarters with a green beret team and the telling of their stories. Pelton was the first reporter who came in contact with Johny Walker and is the same SOB who got him out of the Northern Aliance hospital and into the better medical hands of the Green Berets. The article is several pages long with some great photos that I have not seen on the net. It's worth the $4 cover charge for the magazine.
