Would anyone else be interested in an AR15.com credit card? I think a flat black one, with the M4 and yellow "AR15.com" would be damn cool. Kharn

I think thats a great ideal! And a good way for the site to raise money. Mods, how about tacking this for a day or two and see where it goes?
Link Posted: 2/16/2002 1:44:00 PM EDT
Yes I would. Interest rate should be 9.9% fixed. Anything else is too high!!!
Link Posted: 2/16/2002 1:45:18 PM EDT
Maybe someone could come up with a few designs? One with an American Flag in the background? And, of course, an AR!
Link Posted: 2/16/2002 1:46:00 PM EDT
great idea. i couldnt resist it with a low rate. -jay

Dont know about that one...cool idea, but looks a little like a welfare card. I voted yes as I would like to have one, but I dont like to even own credit cards so would probably refrain.

I think it is a great idea.

You might get as many to sign up for it as the convention.

Grin: And how many is that? Kharn

Sure, I think its a great idea. I'd go with the 9.9 fixed too as that's what my NRA card is. Good way to represent our organization.

I`ve suggested this idea a few times. It never seemed to get anywhere. Perhaps with some member interest, and as a continuing source of site income, it might get another look. [rolleyes]

Hopefully there will be enough votes and replies here to help turn their heads... I am sure a lot of us here use CC's and who wouldnt rather use one that supports something we like... BTW Guys/gals, dont forget to vote!

Blue Jeans: Thirty-Five Dollars T-Shirt: Twelve Dollars 180gr .40S&W ammo: Eleven Dollars Look on the cashier's face as you present your Black Rifle Credit Card? Priceless. For low prices on just about everything worth buying, there's Walmart. For everything else, there's AR15.com.

Mods: Could you please tack this up for a day or two? Lets give everyone a chance to voice their opinion. Kharn

How about AR15.com checks? Those might be a little easier? I just ordered NRA checks since they are not going to make them anymore, but there are all kinds of companies that will do personalized ones with family pictures or whatever on them Later IAJack

I'd gladly spend paper money with AR15s on it.

9.9%..... come one. That's what ALL the other cards say ie Capital One, my NRA card.... You need something else to get people's interest.... How about 8.9% fixed and have something like Capitol One's no hassel transfer and cash advance (I don't have a Capitol One, so who ever does might want to post the info.)

Heck yeah! Besides, credit will be about the only way I can get in on the next LEGP! [:D] Tyler

Guys, I think we need to be realistic. We arent going to get some super low interest rate if we want 0.5-1% back to the site. How about we just go for a credit card with AR15.com on it, and work out the other stuff once we find a company willing to do the logo? I personally dont care about the interest rate, I pay it off every month, and I dont use balance transfers. What does the interest rate matter if you just use the card to pay for a box or two of ammo per month at the hunters-only FFL down the street? Kharn

Kharn, that is not unrealistic at all. I think you might just be used to all those rip-off offers that they send to College kids. [;)] I noticed earlier this thread was tacked, its to bad it was taken off, it was getting a lot of favorable replies. Seems to me leaving it on till at least Tuesday would be the thing to do, a lot of people I know only get time to surf the boards at work and hopefully one of them would have some inside to the CC business. I also noticed a very few people voted no, what's up with that? Its a win win situation.

Maybe we could get the help of the NRA....they have an "NRA credit card...."

Perhaps this... As we all know, there are often offers with different "face designs" available (like my Capitol One card with the "Airmobile" design...) Perhaps we could get help from the NRA to get started - and the NRA offers an "AR15.com" face? If we can involve other clubs (like GOA, GGNRAMC, and the like) then we can have that to get exposure. As exposure picks up, numbers are likely to follow until we can branch off and get our own setup! With that in mind, I like the idea. If we can keep it to 12% or less (I have a Bank One offer on my desk right now at 11.74%) and offer balance transfers for those of us who want to lose other cards - like CitiBank when it was in the doghouse - then we could be off and running. Anyone want to try to carry this ball? I don't know much about the nuts and bolts of credit cards... FFZ
