Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How long can I leave mags Loaded?

I have several AR mags that are currently loaded. How long can I leave them this way without damaging them. I have at least 15 and unloading them will be a pain, but it may be a while before I get to shoot again.

as long as you want. the springs wear from use. Compression is not a problem. I would download the mag one round just to insure they are not overcompressed.

Great! The thought of putting all those itty bitty bullets back into boxes has absolutely no appeal to me. Shooting them will be much more fun.

What TBS said.  I'd add that some plastic bodied mags may over time bulge and/or split when stored fully loaded.
