Did anyone watch the Simpsons rerun last night with the “Moon of Earth” film? It was freakin’ hilarious! A 1950’s vintage, horribly outdated classroom film for second-graders, which teaches us:

For several years the Moon has fascinated observers
The Moon belongs to the Untied States
By 1964 we will have 12 colonies on the Moon
One day our Astro-men will walk on it’s fertile surface

Among the funnier sights were the slot machines, the crater fisherman catching the ‘Moon woman’, and the crack about persons weighing one-third of what they do on earth (“Slow down, tubby, you’re not on the Moon yet!”).

I haven’t had a laugh that good in a while!
