I watched a show on the History Channel the other day about the NSA. They have the technology and manpower to watch everything on this board. We must be keeping some people employed at the NSA.  I believe from what I have learned about the NSA that it is an organization that does some good by stopping terrorism and other illegal activities. Its when they come after us gun owners is when I will have a problem with them.Of course we will never see the NSA, they will just send some lame agency like the Alcohol Toads and Fireants after us.

No Slack!

NSA suppose to watch and gather external informations from outside of the U.S and shouldn't spy on its own people. Internal spying is for our Police, FBI, NBC, ABC, and CBS.

Having been an intelligence officer for twenty years, I can assure you that NSA doesn't have the time, resources or personnel to monitor AR15.com.  They are, like the rest of the Clintonized Intelligence Community, overwhelmed with the task of identifying and reporting on the myriad of threat entities throughout the world.  As much as you may want to be seen as a threat to the Black Helicopter crowd, you are not.

On the other hand, I can almost guarantee you that ATF, USSS and FBI monitor all of these sites, using keywords to alert them to potential threats.

"monitor all of these sites, using keywords to alert them to potential threats."

You mean like:

Overthrow
Bomb
armor piercing
ANFO
assassinate
militia
full auto
convert...

Wait a minute, there is a black helicopter hovering over my house.  I have to go outside and shoot at it.

I really do not care if it is the FBI, CIA, NSA, USSS, BATF or the YMCA...the point is, we are being watched...every post, every topic, every phone call (key words), and every trip off our shores...and every legal gun sale.

They do not seem to worry enough about the folks that are not buying and selling FA legally, they would rather burden the collector or enthusiast shooter with bureaucratic avalanches of forms and restrictions to magazine size...barrel length...etc...

All the while forgetting or ignoring the thousands of illegal immigrants and the burden that they cause on the justice system, the welfare system and the general malaise they cause the rest of the Patriotic, Gun-toten, TAX PAYING US Citizens!

The best policy is to not worry about it, you cannot stop them nor can you legally drop below the radar...

I really doubt that the government is monitoring AR15.com  After they reveiw the transcript logs from the wires on your computer, house, work, car, ect., what would be the point of the redundancy?                                         [}:D]

My first bet on eavesdropping is the Kali DOJ, where else would they get feedback as to the effects of their socialist laws.

Next bet is FBI, but what information are they really obtaining?  I doubt if a real terrorist group would post here, representing themselves.  Most of these posts and replies would be under the BS section.

my bet is that we are being monitored - in two ways - one is for active 'terrorist' and 'subversive' text.

most likely with the same type of technology used to monitor our phone calls (which are all bounced up to satellites as not to require 'wire tap' permission as they are tapping the 'air' -not 'wires') at the sandia (?) national labs in new mexico.

certain trigger words or combinations of words are filtered by a computer and any 'red flags' are then placed under higher scutiny. if the fuzzy logic programs are in place - they might go thru 3 levels of filtering before an agent actually reads our poetry...

another "filter" could be to see our sentence structure thru a psycological profile program to see if we are likely to be a threat or just gun owners with internet access.  how and what we write speak volumes on ourselves.

the more likely our words are being compiled in a data base for 'incriminating' evidence (that would never be made public) for the future should any of us be arrested for our perfectly legal (for now) "hobbies...."

as far as the agency doing it.  nsa/fbi most likely the ones - "hi guys, how was lunch?!!"

ps: our credit card info is also sent via satellite so your position, where you bought gas, how many gallons, spending habbits, the food you eat and where and what you bought can all be monitored....

pps: there is a computer program that does all this. it was originally an accouting program to keep track of merchandise and inventories as it moved from place to place. and was converted for use to keep track of people.  can't remember what is was called, but it was developed in the early 80's.  more than likely our ssn's are the 'bar code' tracking #'s

Let me get my tin-foil hat on for a sec...

I definitely think we have visits by govt trolls every once in a while.  Hell, I wouldn't be surprised some of the more recent "regulars" fit that profile (you know who you are, I'm on to ya![%|]).

Here's a perfect example:  How many times have you seen a junior member pop up with 3 posts to his credit, and start a thread such as "how many guns do you own?," or my personal favorite "How many of you are MAN enough to stand up a be counted!!!"

The scary thing is how many people actually respond with something like "Yeah, I'm with you brother, I'll fight next to you," or "Hell yeah, I got my SKS loaded and buried in my backyard for WTSHTF and I can pop me some black helo 'copters!"  Some people are WAY to open with what they reveal on this and other boards.

Than of course Junior member who started the thread disappears and doesn't post again.
