I was going to have a Hogue free floating handguard put on my BM Shorty Carbine.
I wanted to have it done but was afraid that removing the front sight assembly would scratch the finish when it was removed and replaced.
I would like to know if this happens.
I was afraid that Murphy's Law would take effect.
I sent the handguard back and got 2 20 round mags.

I had one put on my 20" Colt and the gun guys
did a good job. I don't have a brake or flash
hider though. I really like mine and it is
a must as I use a Tanner Sling. Protects the
gas tube better as well. I got the grip to as
it was a package deal.

I changed out the factory Rock River Arms handguards on my 16" upper with the Hogue freefloat tube. I was just careful when removing the front sight assembly, and it was fine. I've been extremely pleased with the Hogue grip and fore-end.

I have a Hogue grip too.I like it very much.
The more I think about the Hogue free float tube the more I would like to get it.
