1) SKS with Rambo wanna-be BS added. Especially the crappy pistol grip or folding stock.
2) super $$$$$ 1911 race guns. I can appreciate the skill involved but still I'd rather have a parkerized plain jane "real world" .45 3) plastic stocked, scope sighted inline muzzle loaders. New made "tradional" ML are ok. 4)Hi-cap double action 9mm/40s&W autos. Nothing bad about them but don't really do much for me. 5) Desert Eagles Can't really see the point of a 4+lb "pistol" with a grip as big as a 2x4. 6) Colt SAA personal taste, I like the Bisley/Remington 1875/cap & ball Colt/S&W top breaks better. The SAA is the small block Chevy of "cowboy" guns. 7) plastic framed pistols & rifles. The only plastic framed gun I really like is the Nylon66. |

Dislikes:
Compensators, dot sights, 20 round mags and other such utter crap mounted on a beloved 1911 frame. Ruger and S&W autoloading pistols. The .22 short. What's the point? My slingshot delivers more energy. Tec-9 and the idiot at the range that holds it by the pistol grip and the bottom of the magazine. Kimber 1911's, because their owners seem to always feel obligated to let you know it is a Kimber, even when you don't ask. Glocks other than the 10mm. Sorry guys, that dreaded plastic frame lives longer than steel with the 10mm. Laser sights. Might as well have a neon sign over your head. Rifled shotguns. If you are shooting far enough to need a rifled barrel for accuracy, use a rifle. BOSS or other such crap designed to make a crappy barrel shoot a little better all while peeling paint off shooting benches. Muzzle breaks on sub-.40 calibers fall into this as well. |

what a shock to see my name above the word member, now this is really a bust. my name is bob cole also!!!whats the odds of that!

i second the lasers. flashlights look stupid too, it's not a swiss army knife it's a rifle. i know some people like em, that's their deal, just my opinion. maybe i'll think differently some day. |

A lot of people on this thread are busting S&W and Ruger pistols. I find this very surprising.

Hmmm...
Personal "gun ban list" Guns to ugly or to poor to have in my collection. Food stamp specials... Lorcins, Jennings, Davis... Ruger(except .22) and S&W semi auto handguns The New springfield armory handgun (not the 1911's). Any other polymer framed handgun other than a Glock (why not buy a Glock ?) Anything with a thumbhole stock Tec 9's... Worthless Mini UZI (doofy looking) Anthing made by Century Arms (cobbled together POS) AR Pistols (especially the Olympic arms one full of holes) Most engraved guns (especially engraved winchester 94's) I think too much engraving should lessen the value. Any gun too valauble to shoot. Any non firing replica. Airsoft guns. Thousand dollar guns with $100 scopes Remmington Semi auto 30.06, especially with $40 walmart special scope. Most mossberg shotguns, except the 590A1 military model. Anything chinese with the exception of the polly tech AK and the SKS. Any inline black powder gun. Any traditonal looking blackpowder gun with a synthetic stock. (If your gonna be Daniel Boon, at least have the courtesy to have a traditional looking gun. Blackpowder is cool because of the smoke 8^)) I loove my UZI, especially with an Israeli issue wooden stock, it makes a great 9mm carbine for indoor ranges. Besides the mags are easy to find and cheap, and the gun is almost indestructable. I do however hate the post ban UZI's glued with a thumbhole stock. They look goofy. |

View Quote Try this for in the minority,I think the Mini 14 could be be better that the AR-15 With some good R&D put in to it and you could have the best small arm ever. It would have all the good things from the the M1(can't brake it) and all the good things about a AR(.223,highcaps,small) Now I know, here come the replies"my Mini-14 shoots a 10 foot group at 8",bla bla bla........but thats just due to the M1 carbine gas sys. All in all my Bushmaster shoot 1 3/4" at 100 yards and my mini 14 now("now" after bull barrle, sights and a new gas block)shoots 2" at 100 yards and 3 5/8" at 200 yards If you can't live with that then you need to pull the cob out. BTW:You know that thing about the "good" mags? you got there. No good mag,no good shoot[:(] |

Hello Bomoholzer, I was wondering if you could explain why you don't like SIG bolt actions. I am not disagreeing at all, I would just like to hear your reasons.
My friend has been thinking about an LSR2 or SSG 3000, and if there are reasons why this is bad, I would like to know so I can tell him. Thanks. |

And -- any new gun with an unfamiliar name trying to take over where it has no business. |

1. Virtually anything Ruger. Especially the Mini-14.
2. The new HK semi-autos that look like a cross b/t space guns and olympic rifles (can't think of what they're called). 3. Glocks. 4. Short-barrelled M1As with comps on them. Boy, do they look like sh!t on a stick. What a disgrace to the lineage. 5. Uzis. Having made this list, please enjoy what-ever-the-heck-you-want-to. Firearms are perrty cool. |

1) TC's. I can see the appeal but the barrels are God-awful expensive.
2) Shotguns. I just don't like 'em. Too much recoil. 3) The hyper-expensive decorative guns others have mentioned. Only Bill Gates would take these out into the field. 4) S&W Sigmas. Nasty, nasty guns. I like most of the other S&W centerfire autos but the Sigma is an abomination. 5) Muzzle-loaders that look like modern guns. Talk about two bad things that go worse together: plastic stocks and Pyrodex. 6) Taurus anything. Ugly as sin and IMO undependable. Wouldn't mind having one of their pump .22 rifles though. |

I have a VERY old 1911 with the orig. 7 rd. stacked magazine and the grip feels way too thin to me. I don't like the single stack 1911. On the other hand, I have a ParaOrd 14.45 LDA that I put Hogues on and love it.
I also agree about any gun that's too expensive to shoot. It's like buying an exotic car and never driving it. It's just wrong. |

Hmmm why is everyone so down on in-line smoke poles? Do some research. First "inlines" were developed in the late 16th century by the french. Way I look at it is, if it loads by the front, uses black powder, then its "primitive".
JMFO anyway. I dont dislike any thing that shoots. Smoke noise and confusion = FUN [peep] |

Desert Eagles
DAO pistols Lasers .30-06(too many people have them and act like they are bad asses) .30-30(I hate meeting a fellow hunter in the woods and they will always say "all you really need is a 30-30") commpensated guns, if you can't handle the recoil you shouldn't shoot it. Plus when you do the blast will scare you shitless I really don't understand why some here knock on modern muzzleloaders. Mine kicks ass and lets me put an additional deer in the freezer. As for rifled slug guns, some places will only let you hunt with one. Also scopes are cool on shotguns too, esp. during turkey season. |

VTHOKIESHOOTER,
I am with you on all that. You know what really gripes me.... the new Winchester 94's with that stupid lookin safety button on the side! I not a big fan of the 30-30 either but the ole 94 and westerns are a boyhood memory for me and it looks stupid! Chuck Conners did not have a stupid safety button on his. Any gun that has a built in lock with a key. |
