I actually have to go out for dinner to a friends house... I need to have everything setup including the webcam and name list ready for printing. (Old fashioned drawing!!!)

Update on friday... WebCam will most likely not be running... when I bought it, I decided not to skimp too much and figured I'd go with a decent webcam. I new I wouldn't use it much, but I figured, WTF! So against my better judgement I checked out reviews and picked up this IBM webcam. WHAT A POS!!! The camera itself has been great, but IBM makes no drivers and doesn't support SHIT! I hope that POS company goes under... (along with ComCrap (compaq) I hate those bastards too!) [=D] So if I get the time to hook up my normal video camera to my multimedia PC and setup all the software (doubt it!) then I'll let everyone know... but for now I'm screwed! ]=( F' IBM!!! |

OK!!!
I friggen ripped my camera out and set it up with my multimedia station (I never use the POS anyhow, F' IBM!!!)... This means ED SR will have his ugly... uhm old?... mug and be drawing the names of the lucky bastards who will walk away with all this kewl stuff!!! As an FYI, the NYC Knives are expected at the end of this month and many of these items need to be ordered/received! [=D] A FEW LOUSY HOURS TO GO!!!! |

Sitting here reading this at work, (at IBM) I have to say thats strong language. I for one hope IBM does not go out of business. I will concede this however: IBM driver support is the worst I have ever seen. It takes me hours to find the correct drive and then they are usually broken up randomly into strange IBM self extracting packets that dump random files all over in strange places. I have through trial and error learned to find drivers in strange places here, let me know if I can help. Sometimes I can find stuff on the intranet here that I can't get from home. |

Also, I apologize for the strong language, but when I worked for Kodak, I was as critical about their digital camera software... so I am like this all the time. If something is crap, I'll be the first to admit it! (Including when this site was slow as molases!!! Didn't I agree with you guys and work to correct the issue??? [=D] CUSTOMER SERVICE BABY! [=D]) Anyhow, I dont hope IBM goes out of business, I was just venting anger... us PC guys need to stick together in this already crappy as hell market! |
