Excellent choice JIMBEAM.  That beats the 17 minutes of In-A-Godda-Da-Vida.  My wife and I listen to that every Thanksgiving on the way to the in-laws.

I want to hear the Star Spangled Banner, sung a capella, by every soldier, sailor, marine and airman (okay, throw in the Coast Guard, too), active duty, retired, regular or reserve, live in person from about 6 feet away. That way the clods on the other side can die with me.

If that can't be arranged, I want to hear the complete Ring Cycle on single-sided 78 rpm records, changed by a blind man with one hand, at 33 rpm, so as to take up as much time as possible.

I cannot believe no one thought of this one:

[b]Help, I’m slippin’ into the Twilight Zone
This place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned.......
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go now that I've gone too far?

And when the hitman comes
He knows damn well he has been cheated
You will come to know when the bullet hits the bone

HOLY IMA FREAKS hardcase! - I have never seen that song mentioned in writing or heard that song mentioned anywhere in my life except by my father! I actually am proud to have that song on CD. Definitely some of the best hippie music going. I used to really impress the stoners back in my college days with that song [:)]. They couldn;t figure out how a "Nazi" type like myself could like such a song - 'course we all interpreted it a bit differently.

Which version do you prefer? I often debate this with myself, as I own three or four versions, each with it's own merits. The Blues Brothers did a pretty good job too, but the rest of the sequel sucked!

As for my pick - I would also have to go with Sinatra's "My Way". What a way to go!
