As little as possible! I work to live, not live to work. BEE Ga Tech "89, I am a R&D design engineer. I design video and audio hardware for satellite/digital TV uplink/set top boxes, and also write firmware for DSPs. It pays the bills and buys a few ARs - wish my stock options would go back up though!

Not employed for the past one and one-half years by choice. Went through a nasty divorce a few months ago and have been selling-off what was once a pretty fair six-figure gun collection/accumulation to support my unwillingness to work. Last job was to come to Oklahoma, start-up and staff a telecommunications company. I was President, hired good people and they built the company from one employee - me- to a little over 400 employees and $40 million in revenue in three years. About time to consider going back to work - or something !

I'm a satellite operations engineer for a space and communications company. We operate and maintain geosynchronous communications satellites on orbit. My company owns several, and we fly several more for a couple of other companies that own spacecraft, but do not yet have the resources to fly their own.

Procurement officer for a State agency. Been in the printing business & sold that shit for a while. I went to the dark side to purchase printing. I'll probably get tired of the easy work soon & get back into the private sector. In the meantime I get to surf the net a shitload on the public's time... Well at least one of "us" is doing it & not a welfare mother... I am the only straight white male in the department. I guess I was the affirmative action hire...

I have one of the coolest jobs I can think of. I design control systems for custom factory automation. Every machine we do is unique and we get to make it up as we go along. It's like playing with giant erector sets with computerized control systems.

I've been a goddamn busboy at the buffet in the Eldorado Hotel and Casino for two years and I still love it. $3.63 an hour after taxes, with at least $20 in tips on a slow day and maybe as much as $45 dollars in tips on a busy day. Damn laws prohibit me from becoming a server until I turn 21. Servers make about 500-800 a week in the other restaurants and work about 5 hours a day. Am I going to be a server? No. I won't stick around for another 2 years. I like to learn all types of new stuff in the casino and put in free time in other departments to learn how they run. I wrote a comprehensive 2001 Restaurant Analysis that I think just kicks ass (although a bit boring unless you find comparing gross revenues for this years and last years of our Brew Brothers Microbrewery entertaining (I do!)) Some of your jobs sound like alot of fun to learn. I'm always interested in learning new stuff so drop me a line if you have a intern or other posisition open for a smart guy such as myself.
