I've been working like crazy to pay for my lawyer so I have not been here as much as I would like. For some reason a few of the pics didn't show up, I will try to get them up. The dispose of as you see fit had me asking a few questions to the property clerk who is a pro-gunner, and a very cool person. This was written by the DA and his actual intention was for the weapon to be destroyed after a ceratin amount of time. They didn't count on me fighting for it at all as most sheeple here just take the loss to prevent making waves. A funny thing happened at the range in PA. I was speaking with the range owner when a man walked up and commented on the evidence sticker. He said, "I never saw one of those leave the evidence room before." I replied, "I just got it back a week ago." He asked, "How did you get it out of the property room, I never heard of that before?" It was obvious that he thought I was a LEO, and that I was using a weapon from the property room. I explained that I was not a LEO and that this is my personally owned weapon. Then I told him the story and it turns out he is a NY state trooper. He was completely disgusted by the actions of the NRPD and he said that he frequently pulls over people with weapons in the car and he doesent even look twice because in upstate NY where he patrols, it is very common. The trooper also said that I should get a good lawyer. He was cool and we went to the firing line and swapped weapons for a few magazines. He had a new postban AK and a glock .40. I enjoyed the AK and he definately had a blast with my AR15. I gotta have an AK now! It is refreshing to meet good cops who are also pro gun like we have on this board. After that I had a small group of local shooters asking about the sticker and just like you guys said, it was a great way to educate people and a very good conversation starter. I did get a few stares from the 'new' shooters who came in with thier whole family to learn how to shoot a gun. It was still very nice to see so many people who were previously anti-gun, or on the fence, come out with their wife and kids to learn how to shoot. I watched about ten such groups come to rent mostly pistols and get a shooting lesson from the instructors. I sure hope this trend keeps up.
