HI,
I agree with Kuiper 100% on the documentary 'Dear America- Letters home from Vietnam'.
I taped it in 1989 and watched it numerous times. This documentary grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go! The accurate choice of music makes it even more impressive. Especially the part with 'Gimme Shelter' by the Stones (one of the best rocksongs ever, imho) gave me chills.
BTW, this film/docu won the Golden Palm in Cannes in 1988 or 1989 for best film. I recommend everyone to watch it!
I think I'l dig up the tape (I hope thay ever release it on DVD) and watch it again tonight. But the tape is not what it used to be after 12 odd years (crappy analog tape, that's what I hate about video)
And Kuiper, how are you doing these days? I read about your relationship here and want to say I'm sorry about that man. I hope you hang in there.
Cheers,
