I haven't heard any of our elected representatives (at the state or federal levels) saying we need to roll back gun-control laws to help us protect ourselves.

I'm not saying the picture stinks, it's probably the best it's been in a long, long, time. But, really, who's stumping for legislating MORE gun rights?

Rolling back gun laws?? You have got to be kidding!  The last time we rolled back the gun laws we lost the right to manufacture new machine guns for civilians. How long did it take to change the law to permit 16 inch barrels? Answer - 10 years.  The Republican party doesn't even have a pro-2nd Amend plank in their platform in the previous election, WHEREAS the Democrats do have anti-gun one in theirs.  Here in Calif. the state is under the strain of a $10 BILLION dollar electrical power bill that has not been paid, and the Demcrats still manage to pass stiffer gun control legislation. Now you can see how high the priority is for gun control.  Too many politicians just don't want to deal with image painted by the news media that owning a gun is extremism, and even barely discuss it hear in So. Calif.  BUT with the WTC/Pentagon attack that could change.
