I remember a retired chief of police from New Jersey mentioning that they were asked if they would be willing to confiscate arms. he owns a gun store so he obviously said no, and no also because most all cops would never support such a thing. This is what's known as the "29 Palms Survey", DD Form 3206. This particular question was asked in Part II.

Yeah, I remember this one. Dr. Cunningham, formerly LCDR Cunningham, USN, formerly Sgt. Cunningham, USA, is one of the Ft. Benning Cunninghams. The entire family is Green Beanie, and are 110% American, Capital "A". John Wayne would have wished he was from this family, and they have done us all proud.
This was done as a doctoral thesis, with the hypothesis that there needed to be a differentiation between orders and duty. The Corps does not want automatons. They want people who can think on their feet. The duty should be to the Constitution, and not just to the command structure. The thesis got this point across in spades, and I commend Dr. Cunningham on a job well done. Bravo Zulu, and Semper Fi! Ken Little |
