There is an "official" definition that involves the words "capable of fully automatic fire" or somesuch. If you really want to know, start a thread asking. I think tc6969 is fixin to go from the thumbscrew stage to the kneebreaking stage, if I can't cough up a definitive answer right soon.[spank] tc is a Former Marine, and I am attempting to keep from getting caught behind the barracks by myself, or at least trying to keep tc and the socks and locks separate.[stick] Edited to ask: "Let's get drunk and screw" is not an acceptable pickup line? I'm sort of a self-made invalid right now......I'm into week three of military leave.....and I'm finally lazy.........One week from now I'll again be running around with my head cut off though - if thats any consolation to those working :)

Save for relatively credible looking reports about Pentagon definitions, I can't find anything [b]from[/b] the Pentagon itself. I will chock this one up to a pretty believable urban legend, unless somebody can actually cough up [u]exactly[/u] where the Pentagon has a definition of "assault weapon". |
