My parents bought this for me for my birthday, and sent it to me in a care package. I forgot how funny this movie is, but more importantly what a great message it conveys. At the very least this story has something in it that we can all identify with: the struggle to get a new gun! Anyone else here fans of the movie?

This has to be my favorite movie of all time. Every tv in the house is constantly on and all on the same channel when the continuous "A Christmas Story" marathon is running.

By the way...I know a guy that I swear is the actual grown up Scott Farcus

Remember the kid named "Flick" that got his tongue stuck to the flag pole? I saw somewhere that he makes and stars in porn movies now.

I'll will stop everything I'm doing to watch that movie! My favorite part is when Santa pushes Ralphie down the slide with the toe of his boot. Cracks me up every time.

Scott Farcus is now Dave on Titus.

My favorite part is when Ralphie's mother asks him where he heard "that word," and you can hear his friend getting the sh!t beat out if him over the phone. LOL! [spank]

I hope you old farts realize that the movie was made 18 YEARS ago.

I work with a guy who is the adult version of Ralphie. We even nicknamed him Ralphie because of it.

Classic flick. The Santa slide scene is the greatest.

Did you all know there was another movie made with the same characters (but different) actors? It was recently on one of those cable movie channels and had Charles Grodin as the dad and Mary Steenbergen as the mom. You even get to see who the Bumpeses (the people next door with all of the dogs) are.

Imbroglio,

Was it a remake of the movie, or is it another story from the book In God We Trust All Others Pay Cash(the book the movie was based on).
