First he promises to quit this site after he had his BOTD threads locked. He posts a long goodbye thread where he states how he just can't come around here anymore because of the thread locking and the rules against the BOTD posts. He states that the ONLY time he may return, if ever, is to get info about firearms, then to quickly depart. OK, so that was obviously bullshit talking, because less than 2 days later he was back, and started the BOTD thread all over again. I personally take no offense to those threads, but then again I don't make the rules around here, Goatboy does. Exactly how many times does someone have to thumb their nose at you before you kick them the hell out of here? Well, ask Steyr, cause he figured that magic number out the hard way. Capping it all off, he goes in to a tirade that crosses all lines of how people are expected to act while being a part of AR15.com. A sort of exclamation point on his list of things he's been asked MANY times NOT to do. As a result, he got the boot. Why all the long faces children? Where's the mystery in this? I'd suggest to everyone that you view Goatboys rules as simply being the way things are. If you don't like them, leave, get the boot, or start your own damn firearms site. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy this place like the vast majority of us regularly do. [soapbox]

How about a big AR15.com group hug? Av.

1 Steyraugians 1:1-5 On the fourth day of the banning, the spirit of the BOARD moved Garandman and he issued an epistle unto McSteyr. Great was his love for this wayward brother. But the wrath of the Goatboy was fierce upon the BOARD and all who beheld it trembled; the bandwith overran with weeping and lamentation. The members cried out for skin pix and rent their official AR15.com garments in despair. And so the BOARD made of Garandman a prophet to speak unto McSteyr that his heart might be softened and and the sweetness of babe threads might flow once again.

Hey, here's an idea - Make me Steyr Aug's PERSONAL moderator. Sort of a one-on-one relationship, where I can monitor his every post. Sort of a pre-post filtration of content. Of course, I'd charge a HUGE fee for my trouble. Y'all probably can't afford me. Oh well - the best ideas usually ARE too expensive.

No group hugs! GoatBoy always grabbs my butt.

And McSteyr spoke thus: Thou shalt not be considered my people unless every male one of you is circumcised. And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth and crossing of legs, but each male person reached for a scissors. [:D]

I have TWO ideas: First, making you SA's personal moderator would be like matter and anti-matter meeting, both being annihilated in a huge explosion of an infinite amount of verbiage, perhaps even creating a black hole-like singularity sucking everything in that is within the event horizon... Sure! Go for it! Second, I think anyone with more than, say 3000 posts should be forced to take a break from the board. Say, three months. Time to step away, go outside, breathe some air, and remember that it's just a website after all. The "get a life" concept comes readily to mind. Maybe we need to form some kind of 12-step group for this addiction? I realize this is counter-productive to the financial well-being of the site, but perhaps quality trumps quantity in this situation? [:D]

Funny you should pick the # 3000. Steyr Aug also recently exceeded that benchmark. From THIS post, its clear you want fewer of my posts. But from your other posts, you want more Steyr Aug, yet we BOTH have over 3K. Heres a thought - people with 185 posts should RE-READ their own posts, so they don't post hypocritical comments. I'm currently attending a 12-step "get a life program for people addicted to internet discussion forums. The program director says they ALSO work with hypocrites. I'll save you a chair. [;)] Hugs and Kisses, D. [}:D]

Steyr AUG is probably crying now from the lack of attention. Remember the time he claimed that his wife was twins with a porn star? For Sure Man. For Sure. [:X][:X]

No, no, I *never* said I wanted any more of SA's posts... where does that come from? You got the wrong guy there. He screwed up, and all behavior has consequences. C'est le vie! I don't care how many times you, or anybdy posts, just wanting to put all this into perspective. And what's with the post-count snobbery? Should we be comparing registration dates? [;)] I don't pretend to be anything but one of the peanut gallery here. Gotta joke for ya: Did you know that there is a 12-step group for people who talk too much? It's called "On-and-on-and-on".

Everyone seems upset. Let's go about our everyday lives and pick this up tomorrow when everyone is less upset. (I know I'll probably be ignored, but at least I tried. I know that I am a stranger to most of you and this is going to be my first/last post on all of this so please don't tell me to mind my own business.)

Break the rules and then whine, pout, and write long, detailed posts about why you weren't wrong. Repeat several times.

I've reported you to PETA for your insensitive and slanderous remarks. This is the only place I can go for social acceptance and you mock me and my pig. I'm going to cry, write an open letter to goatboy and take what you said way too seriously. Now someone give me a damned hug. [:D]

Not to be a hypocrite for posting after I said I wouldn't, but I thought this would quickly turn into a thread like the Open Letter to Goatboy. I am happy to see that I was mistaken and that what I thought was going on, wasn't.
