This saturday at about 12 PM, I - Inuhbadnayburhood will be accompanying several college students (like myself) to Armored Fire shooting range in Circle Pines Minnesota (15-20 minutes north of downtown MPLS).  It is located just off I-35W on the Lake? exit?  I'm not sure...  You can download directions from their website at:

Thank you for posting the Rulz Mongrel!  It's a decent indoor range, with 50 (yard?) lanes.  Divided into two areas.  Pistol competition area (with digital target control thingies), and bench/standing rifle/pistol lanes with simple forward/backward operating target control thingies.

I am a member of the University of Minnesota's 2nd Amendment Armament Group, I'm the mugly-other blonde kid with short pseudo-spiked hair.

Just kidding...  I haven't done anything Illegal, and am not worried.  Also, after seeing this oneshot1kill stuff, I have a lawyer now just in case.  The group will be accompanied by a police officer while there too...

I am not going to be able to bring any guns of my own, as my family made me keep my guns at their home in rural MN, so I'm disarmed right now...  I'm not done building the AR I'm working on yet either.  [:(]

I hope to see some people there though.  Out of all the people in the Armament group, we should still have a reasonable assortment of firearms to use, considering everyone is poor...

I believe the group is bringing 1 AR15, 1 M17 Bushmaster Bullpup, one or more .22 Ruger MKII's, one .300 Wetherby magnum bolt action, and assorted handguns.

Mostly our group focuses on handgun shooting, because it's the most popular amongst students (probably one of those strange things where they want one, because some aren't old enough to buy them on their own...).

I'm not sure if there will be any newbies attending the shooting meet this time around.

Sorry I'm long winded today guys, i've stayed up all night working on a 15 page report for my history of advanced weapons systems class, and I'm beat tired!

After my classes are over this morning, I'm crashing in bed for the remainder of the day!!!

I'll likely sleep until 8:00 AM Friday!

PS.  Yes, the range is "Steven Tyler/Aerosmith" approved...  I also think the lead singer from ?KORN? also approved of this range...  ALso ammo is pretty cheap @ $5.00 per box.

Thank you for coming to the range FedGunner!  I had a great (and expensive) day!  It was really nice to finally meet some fellow AR15.com members.  I really enjoyed meeting you & your wife.

It sure would be great if someday we could arrange a large AR15.com shoot where multiple members could join us!  Also, I'm sorry that I kind of hid inside the "Police" pistol shooting range, rather than the rifle area...  At first, I didn't see anyone with an AR15, there, so I just didn't think anyone showed up.

Once again, thank you for letting me shoot your Colt Lightweight AR15!  That certainly was a blast - Literally.  I just regret not being so careful as to watch out for my hand riding down a bit too far past the fore-grip.  My hand was still stinging until about 10:30 that night after burning it on your gas block/frontsight/sling swivel.  It was a pleasant form of pain, as it was a delight to shoot that rifle! [BD]

Cleaning the Hesse Arms AR15 was a real SOB, because the drift pins on my friend's rifle were sort of stuck (he obviously didn't clean it often, because there was a TON of powder/dirt in there, and it was COMPLETELY DRY!  His AR fires well, for being almost totally unlubed, but I took care of that...
