Well just to offer my defense.

I started Perfect 10s to raise the standard. It did not get out of hand. It was an effort to actually remain compliant.

And the other "blond" and "thong" of the day posts are pretty old and apparently brought up in protest. Check the dates.

I did nothing wrong, EXCEPT get pissed at a mod who locked MY thread when it was NOT in violation, but started out of RESPECT for the new rules.

BTW, posted with my wifes old account since I am now banned.

Some of the post are silly and stupid, but if they are not in violation of the TOS then they should not be locked.

This is the "general discussion" forum after all.

Amazingly large number of prudes seem to hang out here.

WoW! I love it when a plan comes together.  Sure glad I don't have discussion board where I have to moderate decency and moral ethics.

All attempts to legislate morality have, so far, been a failure.  Somebody is ALWAYS disappointed.  No reason to think it can be any different here.

i see the point of GoatBoys house rules. this is his site. but banning SteyrAUG when he was following the rules shows what looks like "making an example of". i know Steyr cussed and considering having his thread prematurely locked i can understand why. i would be mad too.

i agree that this site is not a forum for porn, but see no harm with bikini/camo/flag/gun clad women. i realize that this is what GoatBoy intended and suffered rule breakers. but SteyrAUG should not be banned for others doings.

If a guy that you carpool with, keep messing with your car radio, and puts on on say....rap station that you hate. Day in and day out. You tell him not to do it. He cusses you out everytime and says that since he is riding in YOUR car he has the right to listen to whatever music he wants.

Would you...
A) put up with it
b) tell him to find another carpool
c) disconnect your car stereo

I agree. Making the rules up as you go along is clearly a leftist trait. In fact we often complain about BATF doing that.

I see this as analogous to a Moose Lodge or Freemason's meeting hall that is being provided for free by Goatboy.  There are many rooms where people gather to discuss different aspects of the AR15/shooting world, and there's a bar (the GD forum).  And in that bar, GB gives away free beer for all to enjoy. If you pony up a few bucks, he gives you a higher quality beer.  What more could you want?

Now most have a beer or two, hang out, and have a good time just talking and joking a bit.  But there are some who just can't or won't control themselves, who get way too drunk, and get self-rightously loud and obnoxious, defying the rules that are posted at the door.  Despite repeated friendly and then not-so friendly warnings, they persist.  Eventually the bouncer kicks them out.  Most rooms stay pretty quiet.

Folks, we have no right to set the rules or determine how they're enforced.  If you want to see a heavily moderated (though very informative) site that sets a firm, but friendly tone, try this place:
