Here's some pics of a few of my favorite toys. I'm not a photographer so they're not the greatest in the world. I call this one the "hitman case" [:)] My nickel-plated Colt-45. Straight pimpin' yo. Hmm, I checked back and I can't seem to find a problem. I am using a dynamic DNS service. I wonder if that could be part of it. Is anyone else having trouble?

Well good, I was afraid I had screwed things up royally there for a minute.

Nice Garand. Any story behind it? Is it (mostly) original?

As fas as I can tell it pretty much is. It's a springfield, made in july of '44 (traced the serial) with a NM barrel and standard sights. All internal part numbers seems to match up. I added the bayonet and a GI cleaning kit in the butt. That's probably my favorite of all. Every time I hold it I try to imagine what it must have been like lugging it around some foreign land and I get a profound sense of gratitude and admiration for those guys. Edited to add that the trigger and stock each have 4 grooves carved into them. While it's nice to imagine that it was actually used in combat, I think it's more likely the result of someone trying to impress his friends. [:)] -AO
