Are these still legal & available in CA? Last I heard a new BS23 law was being made to ban all "cheap" pistols including ones without a manual external safety.

I believe most Beretta's passed the safety test.
They are marketing most models in CA with a few exceptions [like the Jetfire 950 (.25cal) is one of them but i'm not sure]. You can find out at:

Hell, some Bryco, Davis and Phoenix guns passed the test. Funny how the morons in sacratomato wrote up the gun "tests" specifically to make these "saturday night specials" fail.

Anyone notice the Carbon type (AR) pistols are NOT on the approved list....
