Compassion is a great thing and is a function of individuals NOT government. Government exist for a very few reasons only. Namely DEFENSE and interstate commerce. Welfare, social security, education and all the rest of that liberal CRAP are NOT the resposibility of Government. They are the responsibility of individuals. What RIGHT do you have to forcibly take money that i make and give it to a freeloading individual who does not have the desire to obtain job skills.
Sorry for the rant but if you guys are any indication of the next generation this country is screwed. Try openeing a history book and learning about what this country was founded on. Liberalism is the #1 cause of collapse of great nations. The Soviet Union, the great roman republic and so on. All fell due to extream liberal policies causing the Overgrowth of government."

What is the standard of living? I am sure you would prefer dirt farming with no electricity or cars.
