John McCain was rated very highly on The NRA rating system of Gov't politicians in the mid to late 80's (along with Sen. Hatch when political winds were more favorable for us during Reagan's tenure), think he was even given an award by NRA for his voting record and contributions to Gunowners' causes. Then came Bush Sr and Bennett, a coupla school shootings, Clinton, Fienstien and Schumer and wahlaa he's a whole new political personality. He sure ain't our buddy now. How much of it do you thin,k has to do with his constituent base or his own political bend?
